Our Ginger Beers

History

When we started developing Ginger Tipple in 2015 we anticipated a variety of future beers, and now we have eight different styles.

ginger beer

Ginger Number 8

8.2% ABV strong ginger blonde made from a mix of fresh and cooked gingers. Dry hopped with Brewers Gold and French Barbe Rouge.   The Number 8 is 2nd fermented with organic honey . This is in the style of a Belgian strong blonde, to be drunk cold and pairs well with fatty dishes like paté, shepherds pie, moussaka and lasagna.

ginger beerGinger Number 5

4.8% ABV made the same way as the regular Ginger Number 8, but with less sugar. This makes a smoother beer with a different level of ginger flavour to its stronger cousin, a gentle blonde with lots of flavor. It is easier to drink in larger quantities which makes it great for meals on to drink by itself on hot days.

ginger beerGinger Hop

A 7% ABV IPA with enough hops overlaying a wonderful ginger beer, which can happily stand alongside a lot of IPAs wavailable on the market. It is dry hopped with Simcoe and Brewers Gold.

Oak & Ginger

11% ABV this dark amber styled ginger beer has extra darkness and body with a touch of apple and pear in the background. It is lightly hopped with Brewers Gold and matured with French oak. The second fermentation with organic honey results in an interesting fugue of oak and ginger, which will accompany the best of smoked meats and mature yellow cheeses.

Ginger BeerGinger Kriek

8% ABV The Ginger Kriek takes 6 months to create. Belgian morello cherries, Noordkrieken, are fermented in one month old Ginger Tipple. Two months later, it is bottled with organic honey and left to second ferment for two weeks. The it has to sit for three months before it is ready to drink.
