The latest ginger beer to come from Sulzbacher’s innovative brewery is the Ginger No 2018. We named it after the post code of the district of Antwerp where it is brewed. We brewed this 6% ABV blonde with water extracted from the air of Klein Antwerpen using sophisticated machinery. This reduces the carbon footprint of our production.
We then sourced the honey for refermentation in the bottle from a beehive in the same neighborhood. Unlike the regular organic honeys which we use at Sulzbachers, this is a single honey – although the bees have an interesting selection of flora in the area.

Lastly, one of our hop suppliers asked us to try out their new hop, Elixir. We discussed the naming of this ginger beer with our friends at the nearby distillery of Elixir d’Anvers, but chose to be more consistent with our naming style.
